Patience

Life is a series of moments. At the two extremes are joyful moments that make our hearts sing with gladness and dark moments that plunge us into sadness and worry. In between is real life; the highs, the lows, the mundane and boring, the sweetness, and light. It is in these times that the believer must try to establish a connection to your Creator.

Anger that becomes a permanent part of one's nature, it is more catastrophic. It deadens ones heart, renders it merciless and affects the faculty of wisdom. The behaviour of a courageous person is based on wisdom and serenity of soul. He gets angry on proper occasion and is patient and restrained. His anger is to the proper extent and if he takes revenge, it is with reason and discretion. He knows well as to whom he should forgive and what to overlook and ignore.

The root of physical noise stems from our spiritual state, and the former accentuates the spiritual noise; it can be a vicious cycle. One would only engross themselves with various kinds of physical noise because of two fundamental shortcomings that every human must overcome if they truly seek success- heedlessness (ghafla) and desirous greed (ŧama’). These two shortcomings are the foundations of the spiritual diseases of the heart.

Smiling increases mood-enhancing hormones while decreasing stress-enhancing hormones, including cortisol, and adrenaline. It also reduces overall blood pressure. And because you typically smile when you’re happy, the muscles used trigger your brain to produce more endorphins—the chemical that relieves pain and stress.

Believe it or not, we are actually born smiling. With the advancement of 3D ultrasound technology, doctors and medical practitioners have been able to identify that developing babies smile in the womb. Once a baby is born, they continue to smile. This is true of all babies regardless of culture and environment, as smiling is a basic and biological uniform human expression.

Consistency is all about achieving goals and accomplishing the dreams we strive for. It’s not necessarily about taking big leaps, rather continuous small steps taken everyday toward a specific goal. Having consistent effort and progress, no matter how challenging it may be, will pave the way for incredible achievement and success. Achieving goals is all about envisioning and taking action toward the steps we need to take. The more we stay consistent, the easier it will be to reach our goals.

A goal is something specific that you want to achieve. This might be to get better at soccer, reduce your cholesterol, or go on a cruise. Setting goals help you develop a sense of accomplishment or satisfaction with your life.

Whether your goals are big or small, the first step to achieving them is to decide what they are. Start by thinking about what is important to you.
